The Veterans Railcard gives you a third off most rail fares across Great Britain, including Advance tickets.

It costs £35 for one year or £80 for three, so the three-year card works out cheaper if you're going to keep it.

Who is eligible?

One day of service. Anyone who served at least a single day in His Majesty's UK Armed Forces qualifies, Regular or Reserve, and that includes National Service.

UK Merchant Mariners who saw duty on legally defined military operations also qualify.
